We really enjoy barbequeing at our new house. Below, meat skewers through the lens of Jani Salokangas. Jani and Laura and the daugher Noela were over for Easter dinner.

Lucy and Daniella. Lucy, our housekeeper for the past three years was not able to continue with us at our new home. The distance to travel is too far. We really enjoyed having her around and especially the children were fond of her.

Lucy ja Daniella. Lucy, kodinhoitajamme viimeisen kolmen vuoden ajan, ei voinut jatkaa kanssamme uudessa kodissa. Työmatkasta olisi tullut liian pitkä. Olemme todella nauttineet ajasta hänen kanssaan ja etenkin lapset ovat olleet oikein kiintyneitä häneen.

After a bit under three years of living in Onnela, we have now moved out further away from the city to a place called Kawe Beach. Housing is much cheaper here, but the disadvantage is that traffic is mad when trying to get into town during rush hour. The house is much bigger then our previous one and right next to the beach. We have had a ton of problems with the electricity and A/Cs in the house, but are hoping to get them sorted out soon. In the mean while, we wil just have to get used to sweating more.

Lähes kolmen Onnela-vuoden jälkeen olemme nyt muuttaneet uuteen kotiin kauemmaksi kaupungista, paikkaan nimeltä Kawe Beach. Asuminen tällä suunnalla on huomattavasti halvempaa, mutta ruuhkat täältä kaupunkiin, etenkin aamuisin, ovat aivan järkyttävät (jopa Afrikkakontekstissa). Uusi talomme on paljon isomme kuin edellinen sijaitsee aivan meren rannassa. Meillä on nyt ollut paljon ongelmia talon sähköjen ja ilmastointilaitteiden kanssa, mutta eiköhän ne kohta saada kuntoon. Sillä välin pitää vain tottua hikoilemaan vähän enemmän.
