Hei, mitä kuuluu? Tässä Teemu.Olen jo koululainen onko Benjy suomikoulussa? Mitä hän on tehnyt siellä? Täällä koulussa on kivaa!

  3. Sirkkuuuuu! Check you email! :)

  4. Hei Teemu! Tässä Benjy. Joo, kyllä minä olen suomikoulussa. Otan sinne aina eväät mukaan. Olen piirtänyt siellä krotiilin ja kirjoittanut nimeni. Mitä sinä olet siellä koulussa tehnyt? Nyt piirrän isin kanssa toimiston pöydällä. Äsken isi auttoi minua kirjoittamaan: “TEEMU”. Terveisin, Benjy

  5. Maria, I checked and replied :) :) :)

    Hi guys!,

we write you from Spain and as we are considering the possibility of coming to live in Dar, we have been having a look to your pictures. We understand that you have been living there for a while so we would like to ask you some practical questions to understand how life can be with a little baby.
We have already lived in Africa for several years but always before having Zoe (our seven months baby girl), that´s why your experience would be very usefull to know if it is reasonable to go there in the next months.
Could you please give us some infos (focused on babies) about daily life: security, sanitary risks (malaria, yellow fever…), food availability, nappies and so on.
Thanks in advance for your time.
    Cheers,

    Rudy, Ana and Zoe.

  7. Daniella’s eyes!!

  8. Hi Rudy, Ana and Zoe!

Sorry for our slow reply, my husband has been waiting for me to do this:). So yes we moved to Dar when Benjamin was 5 months and we returned with Daniella when she was 3 weeks. Living here with children is very managable. There are more things that need to be taken into consideration but then there are other things that make life easier (warmth, swimming possibilities etc.). Bathing is a little challenging at times as children like to drink the water but the tap water is not very clean. We have all the possible vaccinations for the children and an insurance so that when ever they get fever etc we take them for malaria test and other tests, this has been very convenient. Baby food is at times difficult to get, there is some available. Nappies are not very good quality or then very expensive, so we always try to bring as much as we can from Finland.

Here is some little info about life in Dar with babies, feel free to ask more! Maybe we’ll see you in Dar!
