This is what we miss. When Mummi and Pappa were over, we were able to go to movies on a date for the first time since Benjamin was born. Later after movies and dinner, when we came back, we got a detailed report on the evening, accompanied by pictures. (below)

Tätä meillä on ikävä. Kun Mummi ja Pappa olivat käymässä, saimme ensimmäistä kertaa Benjaminin syntymän jälkeen mahdollisuuden käydä treffeillä leffassa. Leffan ja illallisen jälkeen, kun palasimme kotiin saimme yksityiskohtaisen raportin illankulusta kuvien kera. (alla)

It feels like we have only just come back to Tanzania from our summer holidays in Finland, and we are already preparing for Christmas. The plan is for Sirkku to deliver the baby in Finland, where we are hoping to travel as a family at the end of November. In order for Sirkku to get the appropriate doctor’s check ups done, she will have to remain in Finland for at least one month after the delivery. Below, Sirkku and her tummy a few weeks back.

Tuntuu siltä kuin olisimme vasta palanneet Tansaniaan Suomen kesälomaltamme ja jo nyt olemme valmistautumassa jouluun. Sirkun on tarkoitus synnyttää Suomessa, jonne me toivon mukaan matkustamme yhdessä koko perheenä marraskuun lopussa. Jotta Sirkku saa tarvittavat synnytyksen jälkeiset lääkärin tarkastukset tehtyä, pitää hänen olla SUomoessa ainakin kuukausi synnytyksen jälkeen. Yllä, Sirkku ja hänen masunsa muutama viikko sitten.

Last weekend, we had a missionaries retreat to the Island of Zanzibar. There Benjamin was able to meet up with his good friends Gabriel and Romeo. Viime viikonloppuna olimme Sansibarin saarelle viettämässä Fidan Tansanian lähettipäiviä. Siellä Benjaminilla oli mahdollisuus tavata taas hyviä ystäviään Gabrielia ja Romeota. Yllä, Benjy ja Rome jistuvat stragetiapalaverissa ja jakavat ajatuksiaan työn eteenpäin viemisestä. Keskellä, Benjy ottaa muistiinpanoja meneillään olevasta luennosta. Keskellä, Kontsaksen perhe, Sansibarilla asuvia Fidan kehitysyhteistyötekijöitä. Vasemmalta oikealle, Ellen (Daisyn nuorempi sisko, joka on käymässä heillä muutaman viikon ajan), Daisy, Romeo, Matti ja Gabriel.

Mummi and Pappa have come from Finland to spend the remainder of their summer holiday with us. Once again, the bags work packed with presents and goodies and it felt like a second Christmas. Below, Benjamin and Pappa are playing with a present received earlier on in the year from Gramma.

Mummi ja Pappa ovat tulleet Suomesta viettämään lopun kesälomastaan meidän kanssamme. Taas kerran laukut olivat täynnä herkkuja ja lahjoja ja saimme viettää toista joulua. Yllä, Benjamin ja Pappa leikkivät lahjalla, jonka Gramma oli jo antanut aikaisemmin tänä vuonna.
